November is the month we honor our US military veterans on Veterans Day (November 11th). In honor of Veterans Day, this month we’d like to take a moment to discuss VA loans.
What Are VA Loans?
VA home loans provide a pathway for service members, veterans, and eligible surviving spouses who have served our nation to become homeowners. VA loans can help qualified service members & veterans buy, build, or renovate a new purchase.
Even if you’re not a US military service member, there are benefits of the VA loan program you should be aware of: With interest rates on the rise, civilians might be interested in knowing that it’s possible to assume an existing VA loan with its original, lower interest rate. (Military sellers should know in these cases that their VA loan benefits will stay tied to the home, however).
